Cyclones Rec-Select
Our program goal is to develop players into lifelong athletes. We participate in several instate tournaments and scrimmages with 1 out of state tournament.
Age Groups
Clearwater Cyclones accepts players in the following playing in 8U - 16U.
Program Duration
The program runs from September to April.
Program Cost
- Tournament Player: $1995
- Developmental Player: $995
Practices
Practices are held at Clearwater Ice Arena mostly on Saturdays and sometimes Sunday, this is all based on the availability at the rink.

What age group does my child fall under?
For the 2024 / 2025 season, USA Hockey has defined the age groups based on the following birth years:
- 8U (2016/2017)
- 10U (2014/2015)
- 12U (2012/2013)
- 14U (2010/2011)
- 16U (2008/2009)
Is my child guaranteed a spot on the Tournament Team if they are a returning player?
Returning players are NOT guaranteed a spot on the Tournament Team.
2024-25 Season
Registration
Cyclones is open for all players in age groups 8U - 16U. Players must have have above average skating skills as rec-select is a faster pace with more advanced practices.
