Coaches Information
Cyclones Hockey and the CIA Rec Program under the direction of Youth Hockey Director Coach Lee has defined that raising the bar of on ice skill instruction as an important component of growing the program(s). Understanding that - the programs are transitioning in the coaching requirements over the 2024 Fall Season before being required for the 2025 Winter Season.
Fall 2024:
- USA Hockey SafeSport Registration = Required
- USA Hockey Registration = Required
Spring 2025 and beyond
- USA Hockey SafeSport Registration = Required
- USA Hockey Registration = Required
- USA Hockey Coaching Certification (coaches catching up on their CEP's may continue to catch up each year).

The following must be completed for the season.
Beyond the 2025 Spring Season, failure to complete these items by the listed deadlines will result in removal from the ice.
1. SafeSport Registration ***
Complete SafeSport On-Line Program (Deadline: Every 12 months)

*** All volunteers in coaching, team managing or on-ice helping roles must complete USA Hockey SafeSport Volunteer Registration.
2. Register with USA Hockey (Deadline: Prior to taking the ice, every year)

3. Register for Volunteer Role (Deadline: Prior to taking the ice, every season)

Head Coaches at Any Level
1. Complete SafeSport On-Line Program (Deadline: Every 12 months)
