Cyclones Hockey and the Cyclones Rec Select program enables a limited number of players to drop-in on practices for additional skill development. These rec-select practices are more advanced practices for players who are motivated to advance their skill development.

Can I just show up and go on the ice for practice without registering for the session?

As the season progresses - no. Players must book one of the available slots for a session. This enables the coaches to run a more effective practice, grouping the players by skating and play skill levels.

If I pre-registered for an event weeks from now, can I cancel it and get a refund?

You can cancel your session however there is not a way to provide refunds. There is a no refund policy for individual drop-in sessions.

To cancel a session, on cycloneshockey.org, go to your Account page, click/tap on your player's name. On the page it will show all of their registrations, you may cancel from there.

How do I know if my player(s) should drop-in and try a Cyclones rec-select practice?

1. If your player is in the CIA House / Rec Hockey program, have a conversation with your teams Coach, Coach Lee, or Coach Carlos. Players need to be able to skate effectively to make the most of these practices.
2. If your moving to the area and your player is not in the CIA program yet, you could send some video footage of them skating and participating in practices.
3. You could come out, have them drop-in for an evaluation rec game and the coaches/program would provide feedback.
